Terms of Use

Effective October 19, 2026

These terms cover the Old Town Portal at portal.albuquerqueoldtown.com and the public listing and event pages it serves, run by the Historic Old Town Association (HOTA). Using them means you agree to these terms.

Your account

We sign you in by emailing you a link, so anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. Keep your email account secure and your details current. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

What you post

You keep ownership of the listings, photos, events, and ad artwork you add. You give HOTA permission to show them on the Old Town Portal, the Old Town Albuquerque website, and the printed Old Town map, and to fit them to those formats. Only post what you have the right to share.

Accurate listings

You are responsible for keeping your storefront's details accurate. Where a page shows a business's hours or open status from Google, that information comes from the business's Google profile, not from HOTA. We may email you once a year to confirm your storefront is still open.

Payments

HOTA membership is free. Zoho Billing handles listing subscriptions and security program contributions. Stripe handles cookie tin orders. Subscriptions renew until you cancel, and you can cancel in the portal at any time. Canceling stops future billing. Prepaid time is not refunded, unless HOTA cannot deliver what you paid for.

Fair use

Do not post anything unlawful, misleading, or that you have no right to share. Do not pretend to be someone else, try to get into accounts that are not yours, or copy the site's content in bulk. HOTA may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms.

Google Maps features

The Old Town Portal includes Google Maps features and content. Your use of Google Maps features and content is subject to the then-current versions of the Google Maps End User Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Other services

Maps on the portal are provided by Mapbox. Payments are processed by Zoho and Stripe under their own terms.

No guarantees

The portal and its pages are provided as they are. Business details come from the businesses themselves, and we cannot promise they are complete or current. HOTA is not responsible for the businesses listed or for anything they sell. To the extent the law allows, HOTA is not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the portal.

Changes

When these terms change, we post the new version here with a new effective date. Continuing to use the portal means you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Mexico.
